Aug 22nd marks the First Prakash Diwas of Guru Granth Sahib ji, followed by Gurgaddi of Guru Arjan Dev ji on 23rd and Jotijot Diwas of Guru Ramdas ji on 24th.

There will be extended evening Diwans every evening this week from 630PM to about 930PM. Bh Gurpreet Singh ji will be doing Kirtan sewa and Bh Gurjit Singh ji will be doing Katha sewa. We also have the dadhi jatha of Bh Sukhwinder Singh ji.

Camp2017BannerBy Guru’s grace, the annual Gurmat Camp will be held from Aug 21st (Monday) to Aug 25th(Friday). Gurbani, Gurmukhi, Sikh Rehat Maryada, Kirtan, Gatka and other classes will take place from 9:30 AM to 3PM. This year’s theme is Ardas and the camp will focus on Ardas. The 2017 camp is being held in partnership with Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, New York.

May 29th, Monday marks Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s shaheedi diwas. There will be special morning and evening Diwans as per the following schedule.

  • Morning: Samaati of Akhand Path at 10 followed by Kirtan, Katha and Dhadi Varaan till 1230.
  • Evening: Kirtan, Katha and Dhadi Varaan from 630 to 9PM

Kirtan sewa will be done by Bhai Gurmail Singh ji, Former Hazoori Ragi Darbar Sahib, Amristsar. Katha sewa will be done by Bhai Ranjit Singh and Dhadi varaan sewa will be done by Bhai Kewal Singh and Jatha.

DSC_0158The annual New Jersey Khalsa Parade will be held this Saturday on May 6th. We’ve arranged a few buses at Gurdwara Sahib that will be available from 9:30 onwards and will be making rounds to the Borough hall Carteret.

Flag raising ceremony will be held at 12PM sharp, followed by Ardas. Nagar Kirtan will then start from borough hall and end at the Carteret Park.

Buses will leave from the park to Gurdwara Sahib around 4PM. If you’re planning to drive to the borough hall or the park, we recommend that you car pool with friends and family.
