ABOUT US

Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar was founded in 2004 by community members and serves the Sikh Sangat of the whole of New Jersey. It is the second largest Gurdwara in New Jersey. A Gurdwara is a place for the followers of Sikhi to learn Gurmat and other essential aspects of life to become good human beings. A Gurdwara provides not only a place to practice righteousness or religion but also food and shelter to the needy

Our Aims and Objectives are:

  •  To promote, preserve and maintain Sikh religion, Sikh identity, Sikh culture, and Sikh heritage.
  • To provide assistance to communities and individuals in need of help. 
  • To promote a social, cultural, and inter-religious understanding of Sikhi based on sewa, love, justice, truth, and other values taught by the Guru Granth Sahib Ji
  • To inculcate and promote the teachings of the Ten Gurus and the eternal principles enshrined in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
  • To preserve, propagate and uphold the practice of the Sikh Religion in accordance with the Sikh Rehat Maryada.
